About the event
Puppet Makers Studio: Wood & Wing Wonders combines creativity, design, and a little bit of engineering to create a puppet that can move!
In this hands-on workshop, students will assemble a wooden puppet frame, add their own artistic style with colorful tissue paper designs, and explore how simple mechanisms can bring their creation to life. From fluttering wings to imaginative moving characters, students will discover how art and construction work together to create something truly unique.
Each Puppet Makers Studio workshop is a complete experience featuring a different puppet style and creative challenge. Students can join one class or return each month to continue building a collection of handmade characters while learning new artistic techniques.
No previous puppet-making or building experience is needed. Erin will guide students through each step as they design, assemble, and customize their own moving puppet creation.
